ICAMS researcher presented with Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award
Dr Karla Neves, research associate within the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences (ICAMS), was presented with the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award at the American Heart Association’s Joint Hypertension 2018 Scientific Sessions.
Dr Neves won the only award available in the UK for the highest rated abstract, 'Endothelial-Derived Microparticles as Biomarkers and Mediators of Endothelial Cell Injury in VEGF Inhibitor-Treated Cancer Patients: Implications in Hypertension', available here.
She was also one of six finalists for the Hypertension Early Carrier Award.
