Three Minute Thesis Winner
Congratulations to Emma Elliott, (pictured third right), a PhD student from the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences, on winning the University’s three Minute Thesis competition.
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic competition for research students, challenging them to present their research to a non-specialist audience and giving them the opportunity to practice their public engagement skills.
Emma’s 3MT is entitled “Draw me a clock” and is centred around how well different assessments detect memory and thinking problems and whether the tests used early on are suited to busy stroke units. This research will provide an evidence base on which recommendations and clinical guidelines can be based.
Well done to Emma and all who entered. All MVLS entries to the competition can be found here.
