Dr Terry Quinn works with Scottish Parliament on Atrial Fibrillation policy

The recent publication of the Scottish Parliament report “Atrial Fibrillation in Scotland” will shape national policy around management of atrial fibrillation (AF).  The report was a collaboration with active engagement from all relevant stake-holder groups including MSPs, third sector/charities and people whose lives have been affected by AF.

Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences’ (ICAMS) senior lecturer Dr Terry Quinn sits on the Scottish Parliament Cross Party Group for Heart Disease and Stroke. He was chosen as medical lead for the program of work around AF, culminating in the report and a parliamentary motion on AF screening. The report references various research projects led by ICAMS.
