Dr Patrick Mark visits the Scottish Parliament
Dr Patrick Mark, Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences, took part in a roundtable discussion on renal regenerative medicine at the Scottish Parliament on 25th April 2018 with MSPs Fulton MacGregor, Lewis MacDonald and Richard Lyle.
Also present were representatives from Chief Scientist Office, Kidney Research UK, University of Edinburgh and patient representatives. The goal of the meeting was to discuss a long-term strategy to prevent kidney disease with the Scottish Government.
Dr Mark said: “The discussion was rewarding and all present felt the profile of kidney disease as a health research priority will be raised over the next few years.”
