Dental School Lecturer featured in The Herald series celebrating 70 years of NHS

Dr Petrina Sweeney, Senior Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Special Care Dentistry at Glasgow Dental School, was one of 70 individuals featured in a series run in The Herald newspaper throughout April 2018 to celebrate 70 years of the NHS in Scotland.

Dr Sweeney is a former President of the British Society for Disability and Oral Health and co-founded the UK's first palliative care dental service at the Accord Hospice in Paisley. She has worked for over 30 years in Special Care Dentistry and was closely involved in successfully campaigning for recognition of the specialty by the General Dental Council.
