Three Minute Thesis Competition 2018 winners from MVLS

The University of Glasgow’s Three Minute Thesis 2018 Competition final took place on 16th March 2018. The overall winner was Alex Riddell (pictured left with fellow award winners), a postgraduate researcher within the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences with her presentation: “Of Mice and Men”. The judges praised Alex’s enthusiasm for her research; she easily explained complex methodology and grabbed their attention from the very start.

MVLS students who won Three Minute Thesis competition

Jane Bugler, a PhD student in the Institute of Cancer Sciences was selected as the People’s Choice Award winner for her presentation: “Targeting stem cells in Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia”.

The competition was judged by Professor Kevin O’Dell, Dean of Public Engagement; Kate Powell, current Preseident of the Student Representative Council; and Jade Scott, PGR blogger.
