Professor Simon Guild elected to join Executive of Heads of University Biosciences of the Royal Society of Biology

Professor Simon Guild, Head of the School of Life Sciences, was elected to the Executive of the Heads of University Biosciences (HUBS) of the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) at its annual general meeting on 18th April 2018. Professor Guild was made a Fellow of the Royal Society of Biology last year.

HUBS is a Special Interest Group of the RSB, which aims to address the particular challenges of managing biological and life science departments and units in UK higher education.

Prof Guild commented: “I am delighted be joining the executive committee of HUBS as this allows me to network with Life Sciences’ Schools throughout the UK and raises the profile of the University of Glasgow nationally. It will also allow me keep abreast of the latest developments in Biosciences education and scholarship."
