Professor Owen Sansom appointed Director of the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute, Glasgow
Congratulations to Professor Owen Sansom who has been appointed the new Director of the Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute, Glasgow. Since then, he has been instrumental in determining the molecular hallmarks of colorectal cancer, including showing the roles of the tumour suppressor protein APC and the WNT signalling pathway and the involvement of intestinal stem cells in tumourigenesis. Professor Sansom has been the Deputy Director of the CRUK Beatson Institute since 2011.
