AMS 'sharing' event offers early career research advice
Early career researchers were able to explore career pathways and hear key tips at the recent Academy of Medical Sciences (AMS) event. Entitled “Shaping your career in research”, it was hosted by the University of Glasgow and aimed at early career researchers. It was chaired by Professor Dame Anna Dominiczak, Vice Principal and Head of the College of MVLS. The day included a keynote session about managing work-life balance under the AMS’s #medscilife banner. The session involved discussing how life at home can shape and influence your career at different stages. There were also talks and workshops on the Scottish research landscape, funding, the future of research culture in the UK, pitching ideas, and using storytelling to discuss work.
