NERDs help shape the future for early career researchers
The Network for Early career Researcher Development (NERD), a collaboration between the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences and the Institute of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation, aims to give early career researchers the necessary tools to navigate the tricky post-PhD career environment. The collaborative network, organised by junior academics from each institute, has hosted seven events in its first year. The events covered a range of academic and non-academic subjects: from workshops on Fellowship grant writing and targeting high impact publication, to transitioning into industry and non-academic higher education job opportunities.Read more.
