Digital Lead: Dr Ian Anderson

Ian is Senior Lecturer and Director of Museum Studies in the Humanities Advanced Technology and Information Institute. He is also Convenor of Digital Media and Information Studies.

Ian's main interest is in the relationship between users and information systems, particularly in the cultural heritage sector. He is concerned with how user evaluation can inform the development of information systems, the development and use of information systems in practice and innovative ways of representing information online. Ian also has interests in digitisation, historical information science and the economic, social and creative impact of Web 2.0 technologies.

Ian is a guest lecturer at the University of Berne and is Convenor of the Association for History and Computing UK. He is currently involved in six major research projects with partners across Europe.
