Industry Day 2015 Break Out E: Heritage
In relation to heritage, there is now widespread recognition that it is not enough to find out more about the past, to conserve historic places and to collect historic artefacts into our museums. The value of cultural heritage for society is about so much more.
With this recognition comes the realisation that our established ways of thinking and acting are not sufficient for the task of fully realising the values of heritage for society. Fresh approaches are needed, and cooperation is required to realise this ambition.
In this breakout session, we will consider priorities for collaborative heritage research and education. If there were to be one thing we could work together to achieve, what would it be?
