Health Safety and Wellbeing
The College's representative on the University Health, Safety & Wellbeing Committee is Gillian Shaw, Head of Human Resources. Health, Safety & Wellbeing matters are considered at meetings of College Management Group (CMG), with the expectation that School Executives consider such matters in Schools and raise those which require input from outside the School at CMG. Concerns relating to policy are then brought to the attention of the Universitys Committee by the College representative. Committee minutes are here.
Colleagues in the College may wish to familiarise themselves with those guidance documents and policies most likely to be relevant to their work. These include:
- Lone Working Procedure
- Policy for Managing Stress & Mental Wellbeing in the Workplace
- Physical Security Policy
It is the College's policy that new colleagues should undertake the e-learning training module in Health, Safety & Wellbeing as part of the induction programme. This may be found here.
The University has recently changed its provider of Employee Assistance services. You can read more here.
Your school operations administrator is the first port of call for Estates matters. For capital expenditure applications, minor works or problems which cannot be resolved at school level, contact the College Secretary.
