Gerrie Fellows is a poet and walker whose publications include Uncommon Place (2019), The Body in Space (2014), and Window for a Small Blue Child (2007), which was shortlisted for The Sundial Scottish Arts Council Poetry Book of the Year 2008

Tom Leonard described Fellows' work as ""the most intelligent debate between technology and nature in poetry that I know" and Gerry Loose has commented on Uncommon Place: "Rooted in the local, the poems in this book deliver a profound understanding of emotions engendered by the geologies and natural histories of landscape and what it means to fully inhabit this country: true dwelling; compelling, unique, enduring poetry."

Note: seats are limited at this event as we are operating a social distancing policy and reduced capacity. If it turns out you are unable to take your place, please cancel your ticket so that it can be released for someone else.

We ask that all audience members wear masks during the event, except where exempt.

Creative Conversations is funded by the Ferguson Bequest. Professor Thomas Ferguson (1900-1977), Henry Mechan Chair of Public Health (1944-64), bequeathed his estate to the University, with the instruction that the money should be used to foster the social side of University life.
