A multimedia storytelling event combining audio-visual, photographic, fictional and journalistic accounts of some remarkable moments in Scottish-Native American history. From Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show (1891-2 & 1904) to First Nation actors in Season 4 of Outlander, Scotland has played host to a rich tapestry of colonial culture over the years. Join us to examine the complexities of this within a decolonial context.

This event is presented by the College of Arts at the University of Glasgow as part of the Being Human festival, the UK’s only national festival of the humanities, taking place 12–22 November. Led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
