Study from Level 3 (Honours) with the University of Glasgow
King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology (KMITL) was created in 1971 by amalgamation of several technical colleges, previously established in cooperation between Thailand and Japan, and achieved full university status in 1986. KMITL is named after a 19th century king who was instrumental in introducing science and technology into Thailand. It is located on a campus in the district of Ladkrabang in Bangkok.
KMITL’s vision is "to be a premier education institute with emphasis on research in science and technology: creating innovation and knowledge through wisdom and arts for the nation's development toward international success".
In 2010, the University of Glasgow signed a partnership agreement with KMITL’s International College. This partnership allows students who successfully complete two years of study on recognised international programmes at KMITL to gain entry to Level 3 (Honours) of selected programmes at the University of Glasgow.
Scholarship
Successful applicants are awarded the University of Glasgow – KMITL scholarship which is worth 20 per cent of the relevant international tuition fee. If successful in your application, you will receive a notification of how this scholarship is applied.

My time at the University of Glasgow has been life changing. The university offered me many interesting modules to choose from, along with the opportunities to work on projects with world-class academics and experienced software engineers in the industry. Throughout my degree, I received tremendous amount of educational and mental support from the university staffs, the counselling service, and the career service. There were many student societies and clubs at UofG, which brought me many wonderful friends to explore the beautiful Scotland with. At the end, I left the University of Glasgow with a well-respected degree, head full of knowledge, treasured friendships, and many happy memories of my time in Glasgow’s best university.
