| The learning society - adult and continuing education |
| The course aims to promote an understanding of theoretical and policy concerns for adult educators in the context of the Learning Society. It will also provide an introduction to adult and continuing education as an academic field of study. This course is suited to those who have taken any CertHE level 1 course in Arts or Social Sciences. It will also be of value to any student already working in adult education, training or human resources development with an interest in educational ideas and systems or in the informal learning which takes place outside traditional educational institutions. Those interested in applying for the Diploma/MSc programme in Adult and Continuing Education will also find this course provides a useful grounding for some parts of that programme. |
