General Duties

I am now the Webmaster for the Undergraduate School of the Institute of Biomedical and Life Sciences. I am an adminsitrator the UGS Moodle system. We are about to use the Terminal 4 content management system to proivide our web pages.

Past Experience

From 1995 to 2005, I was the Webmaster for the Institute of Biomedical and Life Sciences. Prior to that I was responsible for technical services to two members of staff, Prof. R.W. Furness and Prof. P. Monaghan, of the Ornithology Group in the Division of Environmental and Evolutionary Biology (DEEB) of the Institute of Biomedical and Life Sciences (IBLS). This included:-

data collection in the field,
specialist laboratory analyses,
computing assistance and the internet,
assistance with level 3 and level 4 teaching,
maintenance of records,
preparation of manuscripts and figures for publication,
ordering apparatus and materials,
I used to liaise with outside bodies for specific projects. For example the British Trust for Ornithology, computer consultants, local authorities etc.
