The New Laibach Single

Tanz Mit Laibach - 25th August 2003

This page plans to features anything relating to Laibach's eagerly awaited new album 'WAT'. The album itself is completely finished and ready for release with the promos already sent to DJs, promoters and radio stations etc. Therefore there's a chance you may have already heard some of the material. Those who have heard material from the album or the 5 track promos are very positive and highly enthusiastic though those hoping for an album similar to JCS may be a little disappointed as Laibach have moved on to a much more techno style. The release date of the 8th of September is almost certainly the final date with no more adjustments. The single Tanz Mit Laibach is out a couple weeks earlier on 25th of August along with a promotional video. The single will contain remixes by Johanes Heil, Umek and Temponauta.

Post note - After the long wait the album is now available though in some countries there may be a distribution delay and therefore some may want to look at the idea of buying from Internet/Mail order companies. Click for more details.
As expected the CD version features the bonus video of Tanz mit Laibach and the LP had opted for the bonus track 'Reject or Breed'. There will soon be a review in the Review section meanwhile I would guess most Laibach fans would enjoy this album.

This track listing has emerged for the new album

01 - B Mashina
02 - Tanz Mit Laibach
03 - Du Bist Unser
04 - Achtung!
05 - Ende
06 - Reject or Breed ~ LP version only

07 - Now You Will Pay
08 - Hell: Symmetry
09 - Das Spiel Ist Aus
10 - Satanic Versus
11 - The Great Divide
12 - WAT
13 - Anti-Semitism

This is the track listing for the LP version which features the bonus track 'Reject or Breed, the CD version will have twelve tracks. The LP is probably a double with the bonus track included to allow a more uniformed fit. The CD is expected to have the video of Tanz Mit Laibach as a bonus.

With thirteen or even twelve tracks the album should be a good length, some interesting titles suggesting that religion may be a major theme and possibly looking at the current world political/religion conflicts. B Mashina was originally a track by the Slovene band Siddharta which was remixed by Laibach last year. Tanz Mit Laibach will launch the album.
