Environmental Stewardship (Dumfries Campus)
University of Glasgow Centre for Open Studies
BSc Environmental Stewardship students are also eligible (see notes below) to take University of Glasgow Centre for Open Studies science-based courses (these are all based in Glasgow or at field stations). These science courses can vary from year to year and some have specific pre-requisites. Some courses are residential field courses, others are distance learning with a short field course, while others require attendance, usually a weekday evening, throughout the year. The science courses you are interested in taking should be worth 20 credits and be at Level 1 to contribute towards your BSc curriculum.
You will need to register for the science course at the start of the academic year and may have to pay a deposit to secure your place.
Your Advisor of Study can help you register your chosen Centre for Open Studies course(s) on MyGlasgow, but please contact Bethan (Bethan.Wood@glasgow.ac.uk) to check that the course is suitable beforehand.
Notes:
- BSc Environmental Stewardship registered students will not be required to pay course fees, BUT will be responsible for any accommodation, transport, and field course costs.
- Students will need to enrol on their chosen course(s) prior to the start of the academic year - see here for further details.
- Students can only choose from the offerings in the science options which include astronomy, biology, and earth sciences.
