Civil Engineering
Why Civil Engineering?

Civil engineers design and build monumental structures (such as the Channel Tunnel) and provide the skills and expertise to design, build and maintain the country's infrastructure, including water supply and treatment, power supply, transportation and shelter. A Civil Engineering degree at the University of Glasgow will provide you with a comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of this important field, with multiple projects allowing you to apply your skills to practical tasks and prepare yourself for a successful career in industry.
Both the MEng and BEng degrees are accredited by four institutions, including the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE). Graduates of this degree have a particularly high chance of finding employment - 95% of our graduates are in either work or further study (Unistats 2010).
