Pastoral support
Fully trained Wardens and Senior Residents are available to help with any pastoral issues that arise outwith office hours (e.g. health, safety, student emotional support and discipline, as well as any other issues that may arise during your stay with us).
Wardens and Senior Residents are typically postgraduates or later year undergraduate students who live in the residences and provide advice and support outwith normal office hours.
Pastoral Staff Vacancies
There are a range of wardening positions throughout all University accommodation. The bulk of applications are considered over the summer period, with successful candidates taking up positions prior to the start of term, however vacancies do arise all year round and applicant details are retained on file.
Who can apply?
These positions are best suited to mature students, later year undergraduates and postgraduates, especially those with previous experience of living in University accommodation. Applicants must be/going to become registered students or staff at the University of Glasgow.
Interviews
Primarily interviews are held at two key times of year around May and August/September time. Ad-hoc interviews can be called outwith these times should vacancies arise. There is no guarantee of an interview due to the high number of applications received for these roles.
