Block Personal Possessions Insurance

It is a condition of residence that all students "are responsible for the safety of all their property". Residential Services have arranged a Block Insurance Policy for all students in residences. The cost of this policy is included in your residence fees.

This insurance Policy is operated by UK & Ireland Insurance Services (Online) Ltd. and provides basic cover for residents. If required, it is possible for students to extend this cover online at http://www.cover4students.com/blockhalls/summary/glasgow, Select EXTEND BASIC COVER. Then go through the checklist to establish what additional cover is required. You will be able to purchase the cover immediately online.

In the unlikely event that you need to make a claim, details of how to do this are available on the website too in addition to all policy documents.

It should be noted that the University Court will not be liable for any loss or damage to such property except on proof of specific acts of negligence on its part or on the part of those for whom they are responsible.
