Student Learning Service

The Student Learning Service (SLS) offers faculty specific academic advice and workshops on aspects of learning including time management, note-taking, exam preparation, essay writing and presentation skills.

The SLS also offers advice and support through NUMBER: Student Mathematical Support to undergraduate students studying school and first year university syllabuses in numeracy, mathematics and statistics. 


Student Network

The Student Network is a University of Glasgow service that puts prospective, new and current students in touch with more experienced students, who have completed their first year of study and can:

  • Answer any general queries you may have about studying at Glasgow
  • Give you an insight into what to expect from your first year of study
  • Offer guidance and support throughout your first year of study 

To use the service you can either Register or use the Ask a Student form.

SRC Advice Centre

The SRC can offer advice and representation for a number of academic problems. These include:

  • Academic appeals
  • Disciplinary procedures
  • Formal complaints
  • Fitness to practice
