University communications channels

Here’s a list of main communications channels the University will use to interact with you.

Email:

Your student email is one of the main official channels the University will use to communicate with you.

It is your responsibility to:

  • Check your inbox regularly for any important updates, e.g. exam results, library reminders
  • Use your student email for all email correspondence with the University, e.g. teaching staff, services

You can access your Email, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams and download Office to your PC, Mac, tablet and smart phone via Office 365.

Moodle:

You will use Moodle to submit essays, reports and other assignments, interact with your tutors and colleagues, and take part in e-learning.

MyGlasgow announcements:

The University will post announcements in MyGlasgow to alert you about urgent matters. Don’t forget to check that space regularly to be up-to-date!

Text messages:

If you registered your mobile phone number with MyCampus, University staff may send you text messages with alerts and important updates.

Social media:
