About the Student Network

How does it work?

The Student Network is an information and advice service available to:

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate students, either entering or currently undertaking their first year of study at Glasgow.
  • Prospective students thinking about studying at Glasgow.

It is really easy to use the service, just fill in the Ask a Student form.  Once we have received your completed form we will match your details with a student mentor who is the best match for you and they will contact you via e-mail.

Why contact us?

2 students Sometimes the best people to answer your questions and provide impartial advice are the people who have gone through the same experiences.

Whether you are a prospective student with some questions about studying at Glasgow or a current student and looking for some support or advice on a particular aspect of your course, we'll put you in touch with a more experienced student, who you can contact at anytime, either before you arrive at Uni and throughout your first year of study.

Who will I be put in contact with?

We aim to put you in touch with a current student from the same college, school or course.  This is not always possible however, as there are so many courses and departments at the University.  If we do have to match you with a student who is studying a different course they will still be able to provide you with info and advice on a number of things and if there's anything they don't know they'll point you in the direction of someone who can help.
