The West End
The West End
Whether you crave cosy campus living or big city excitement you’ll be inspired by our excellent location in the friendly West End of Glasgow.
Two miles from city centre, which is easily accessed by subway, bus or on foot, the West End is home to cafés and bars hidden down cobbled lanes, world-famous restaurants and comedy clubs blended with a mix of boutique shops and Victorian architecture - all underpinned by museums, galleries and parks.
The area has a strong cultural identity, taking part in events such as:
- Celtic Connections folk festival
- Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival
- Bard in the Botanics - the outdoor Shakespeare festival; and
- its very own West End Festival each summer.
"I live in the west end and it is an area of
Glasgow that I really love. There is so much going on: literally
everything for every taste."
