Travelling to and in Glasgow Travelling
to Glasgow.. Approximately 7 miles from the University. Citylink
operate an Airport bus service to and from Buchanan Bus Station in the
city centre. Taxi fare is roughly £15-18. Approximately 22 miles South-West of the University. Stagecoach operate an airport bus service to the city centre. By rail: National Rail enquiries
with intercity links to all major cities and frequent services to Edinburgh
(50 minutes) and London (5 hours). By coach: For long distance coaches which terminate at Buchanan
Street Bus Station. Scottish
Citylink provide coach services from Glasgow to many destinations
in Scotland including Glasgow airport. By road: By bus: For Strathclyde Passenger
Travel (SPT). Route 44 runs through the main campus from the city
centre. Numerous other routes serve Dumbarton Road, Great Western Road
and Byres Road. A seasonal tourist route stops at the University. The main station for the University is Hillhead. Kelvinhall
and Kelvinbridge stations are more convenient for some locations (see
subway map
of Glasgow).
