Freshers' Week this year is going to be better than ever, happening on and betweeen the 18th and 22nd of September 2006.

What Is Freshers Week?

Freshers' Week is a festival to launch you into university life, run by the student bodies on campus. This is the biggest student party you'll ever go to.

Glasgow University has the biggest and best Freshers' Week in the UK and as your first week at University you should throw yourself in to it and give everything a go!

This is the perfect opportunity to know your way around, visit the bars on campus (there's more than 10 of them), try new sports and get more freebies than you will be able to carry back to Halls from the Freshers' Fair. But, most importantly, you will have the chance to meet the people you will be spending the next few years of your life with.

The party lasts a week but the Freshers' Week experience will stay with you.

What Can I Expect?

The website will be updated regularly so keep popping back to check the What's On section.

A full programme of events with the weeks entire listings times and maps will be given to you when you arrive in Freshers' Week.

What Else?

Welcome 2006 is a series of events running alongside Freshers' Week to provide an introduction into the academic side of the University. Full details on the Welcome 2006 website.
