Supervillains Defending the Secret Base

The supervillain contingent forms an important part of the secret base's defences. Apart from Dr. Demoniak himself, these supervillains are less detailed as they will only be encountered at the end of the scenario and the heroes are unlikely to talk to them.

The Beast Brothers

A couple of trolls who claim to be from Asgard (I think Jotunheim is where they’re supposed to come from). They are large, hairy and fanged. They have a fair measure of superstrength and like to be paid in drink.

Boulderman and The Slab

Dr. Demoniak gave these two their powers through the same process as Rockface and the Atomic Pile. They are superhumanly strong, armoured and tough. Boulderman is brown and of a rounder shape. The Slab is taller and dark grey in colour.

Lord of the Living Lightning

This man has gained control of electricity through alchemy. He can fire lightning bolts and summon lightning elementals.

Molten and his Magmites

Molten appears to be a large humanoid creature made out of magma. He lives in the magma layer normally but for the moment is living in Dr. Demoniak’s magma pool. His Magmites look like him but much smaller (three feet high).

Nocturne

Nocturne is a vampire. He has white skin, red glowing eyes and wears evening dress and an opera cloak.

Tigerman

A genetically modified human/tiger hybrid. Has a humanoid body with a tiger-like head. And a tail.

The Hired Wands - Mercenary Wizards

Sarak the Sorcerer, Isaac Kurov and Wonderworker maintain the global spell of concealment and stop or slow down anything else Dr. Sorcery attempts which is liable to bring the scenario to a conclusion too quickly. These guys don’t take any part in fighting and are unlikely to be encountered. If they are, Dr. Sorcery will recognise them. Sarak the Sorcerer wears evening dress and a turban with a jewel in it. Isaac Kurov wears a crumpled suit and shirt with no tie. He is always unshaven and untidy looking. He has an alcohol problem. Wonderworker wears an orange and yellow costume and hooded cape.

Dr. Demoniak

Davian Demoniak is a nobleman from the tiny eastern European nation of Boravia. In his youth he showed great promise intellectually and was sent abroad to study. He has always been proud, arrogant and had a strong temper. This arrogance led him to conduct an experiment he was told would be unsafe. He was horribly disfigured in the resulting explosion. Embittered by this, he resolved that if he could not fit in with the rest of humanity, he would rule it. He has become a megalomaniac.

Dr. Demoniak has transferred his consciousness to his Death Dragon Mark II, which is described below. His operation is run by robotic duplicates. These will have the usual sorts of powers one would expect of a world conquering madman in power armour – energy blasts, flight (and armour). The Dr. Demoniak power armour is black and red, with a green cloak. His face mask is demonic in design, reminiscent of a samurai's.

This is Dr. Demoniak’s fourth attempt to take over the world. The previous three were all thwarted by the Justice Sentinels. They were -

Doomsday device Location of secret base
Weather control satellite Artificial island in Indian Ocean
Giant laser cannon Space station
Death Dragon Mark I Hollow mountain in Tibet

Quote:

"How ironic, that your own energies will power the machine you tried so hard to destroy! Ahahahahahahahaha!"

Dr. Demoniak’s Family

Dr. Demoniak’s relatives still live in the family castle in Boravia. His elder brother, Duke Darok Demoniak, has inherited the title and estate. His mother is very old and speaks no English but will cackle insanely while the duke speaks with any guests. Like his brother, Darok was educated at Oxford and is quite westernised and civilised. Although he is unhappy with the way Davian has conducted his life, Darok can understand to an extent and he is still family so he will take no action against him.

The Death Dragon Mark II

This gigantic robot dragon, which now houses Dr. Demoniak's consciousness, bristles with weaponry of all sorts. The wings do not flap, instead a number of rocket thrusters are attached. The Mark I Death Dragon was destroyed when missiles were shot down its throat just as it fired its main weapon, a plasma cannon in its mouth. The Mark II is basically the same but without this drawback. One remaining weakness is that its weapons cannot fire on someone very close in. Robotic warriors, carried internally, are usually sent out to deal with this. The Death Dragon Mark II is currently concealed in the magma pool beneath Dr. Demoniak's secret base.
