Other Supervillains

Dr. Dominion

Dr. Dominion comes from the small eastern European country of Moldova (a real country). He had humble beginnings but showed incredible scientific brilliance and came to the states to go to university. For several years he worked hard in both academia and industry, creating many beneficial inventions. He returned to his native land to marry a childhood sweetheart. It seems to have been the death of his wife, in mysterious circumstances, which turned him to evil.

Since then, Dr. Dominion has gone on to become one of the most notorious villains in the world. It is his rationality and forward planning coupled with his scientific genius that makes him such a dangerous opponent.

Dr. Dominion is not Dr. Demoniak

People often confuse these two supervillains but they are in fact completely different people. It’s just that they both happen to be eastern European evil scientific geniuses in power armour who are continually trying to take over the world. Dr. Dominion is more rational and thus probably more dangerous. Dr. Demoniak usually acts very intelligently but occasionally makes mistakes or lapses into rants. Dr. Dominion very seldom rants and tends to plan for longer.

The Minions of Dr. Dominion

These three are running a protection racket of organised criminals, for Dr. Dominion. Dr. Golem is the leader. Their base is a disused, boarded up movie theatre in Atlantic City. Some of the offices are used as living quarters for the three supervillains and a single errand boy who goes on pizza runs and so forth. There is an entrance leading to the sewers, which they use to get to their black-windowed van. These elaborate security precautions are to keep them safe from reprisals by their victims.

Dr. Golem

Dr. Golem can inhabit one of several specially prepared bodies made out of mystic clay. He has a large stout one (called his Battle Body) for fighting, and a rocket shaped one (called his Ballistic Body) for fleeing. He normally occupies his Basic Body.

Ground Pounder

Ground Pounder is a large, stocky, muscular woman. She is mentally tough, stoic and unforgiving of weakness in others. Her powers - superhuman strength, toughness and endurance - were granted by the weird alien being, the Infinite Mind, when it gave superpowers to everyone in a Denver tower block.

Meltdown

Meltdown can project blasts of nuclear fire, fly and surround himself with a fiery sheath for protection. He was a petty criminal involved in the theft of certain rare radioactive isotopes from a nuclear plant. Some sort of accident therein gave him his powers. Meltdown is a rather nasty, sadistic individual. He’s also getting pretty sick of being cooped up in the disused cinema and his complaining brings him into conflict with Ground Pounder.

The Glove

The daughter of a mafia boss, the Glove is known as the world’s greatest thief. She is currently in prison, awaiting trial. She does not have superpowers, instead relying on skill and a variety of amazing gadgets. These were either stolen or donated by lovers and admirers. The Glove is a mischievous and fun loving bon vivant. Having found her brief stay in jail not at all to her liking she will try to enlist the PCs aid in securing her freedom. She has a sidekick called Kid Glove.

The Lynx

The Lynx is a black woman who was given her powers by Dr. Demoniak through DNA manipulation. The treatment affected her personality, making her more animalistic. She is very selfish and often playful but in battle can be overcome completely by rage and bloodlust. In the course of defending Dr. Demoniak’s last secret base she killed dozens of his own troops, so she was sent away. In her new job, as Mr. Velvet’s enforcer, she is always sent into combat alone. Needless to say, Mr. Velvet’s men are terrified of her but she is a fantastic fighter and very useful.
