Research interests

I have the primary role as Manager of the SUERC Radiocarbon Laboratory.

Personal research interests are new avenues of method development for the laboratory to advance existing methodologies for ¹⁴C capabilities.

Current Projects:

Forensic applications of ¹⁴C.
Method development and modification of ¹⁴C techniques.
Development of ¹⁴C laboratory QA procedures.
New stepped combustion method for the dating of archaeological tooth enamel.
Analytical problems associated with the measurement of bone F¹⁴C background values at SUERC.
Compilation of a whisky bomb curve from known age samples to aid identification of year of production of malt whisky.
