2011 Pay Claim
Please return your papers to the Unison office regarding the
pay claim for this year.
Changes to Annual Leave
The University has now rolled out the new Annual Leave
arrangements, including the change to the status of the
September Weekend Friday and Monday, with effect Session 2009/10. Full details
of the original proposal are available here:
September weekend proposal. Ballot papers were circulated to our members and
the majority of those who voted were in favour of the proposal.
Pensions
USS Pension
A 60 day consultation began on 20th October regarding proposed changes
to the USS pension scheme. Read further information from Unison

Benefits Plus
Staff should have received information
from HR regarding the introduction of a pension scheme known as Benefits Plus.

National Delegate Conference
The 2010
annual conference took place 15-18 June in Bournemouth. Kirsteen attended as our representative from the University of Glasgow.
The 2011 conference will take place in June in Manchester. Annual General Meeting
Our last branch AGM took place on Wednesday, 9th
March in The Atrium, Wolfson Medical School Building. Thanks to all who joined
us! Topics of discussion included pensions, voluntary severance and
funding cuts.
