The Big Bash 2008 sponsored by KPMG

The sharp suits, glam stilettos and nervous faces at the door of the Classic Grand on the night of Wednesday 3rd December could only mean one thing, the biggest event of The Student Enterprise calendar at the University of Glasgow, the Big Bash Awards Ceremony sponsored by KPMG.

While tension built throughout the night for the results of the various competitions, the audience were kept occupied by a veritable feast of entertainment: dancers, a magician, a wheel of fortune, a caricaturist, a mystery auction and even the University’s own 26 piece Big Band!

Pictures of the evening and more details will be added shortly but for interested parties, here are the results and thanks below.

The Results

The Big Idea Competition

The aim of the Big Idea competition is to encourage students to tell us about business ideas they think could be successful.  That could be a new product, new service or even a new market for an existing product/service.  For 2008 the competition was split between undergraduate and postgraduate entries.  The judging panel marked the entries on potential, impact, innovation and viability.
