The £10 Challenge

Student Enterprise joins forces with the SRC to deliver the greatest fund-raising challenge on earth/campus! Be in with a chance to win a £100 pound cash prize!

Your mission is to raise as much money for local charities as possible from an initial loan of £10 (provided by the lovely peeps at Student Enterprise) in just 56 hours.

There are only three rules :

1. You must only use your initial £10 (although you can reinvest any profits.)

2. Your methods must stay within the law.

3. Your methods must be ethical (ie. don’t bring the university into disrepute.)

The Facts

  • You will be provided with your £10 and a host of motivational phrases, such as; “You can do it!”; “ Bring home the bacon!” etc, etc.
  • You and your team then have 58 hours to make like an “Apprentice” candidate and fill your boots with money.
  • When the challenge finishes, we will ask you to give a short presentation (think Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky) about how you made the money (the more pics the more qudos.)
  • A winner will be selected by our esteemed panel of judges. The team, thereafter, will be able to call themselves Kings/Queens of the £10 Challenge and will walk away with the grand prize of £100!
  • All the money raised will go to some fantastic local charities, giving all participants a warm, “do-goody” glow (as well as some sensible stuff to go on their C.V. so they can maybe become (ethical) bankers in the future and remember that time that they used their powers for good.)
