Community programmes
Our older adult classes have a reputation of delivering high quality, enjoyable, worthwhile classes and activities for our older customers.
Our ActiveAge programme is for those 55 and over, and encapsulates the best components from our main programme and tailors it specifically to the needs of participants. We use a unique blend of exercise classes and gym sessions to add variety and create interest in what we deliver.
Participants are encouraged to work at your own pace - making the sessions as strenuous or easy as you wish, to achieve the numerous positive health benefits from exercising on a regular basis.
Social Aspect
Our programme is also known for it’s great social side - at the end of each exercise class there is the opportunity for ‘tea and a chat’ with fellow members. You are also invited to attend a number of excursions and lunches organised throughout the year. Information regarding individual trips is given out during our classes.
What do you get for your ActiveAge membership?
Our ActiveAge class is a low impact class for the older adult with a combination of aerobics and muscle conditioning. It is suitable for all levels of participant. The programme is delivered across both our facilities - as an ActiveAge member you can choose to attend either or both facilities. Access is restricted to the time when the class is held and a short time before or after each class if you wish to use other gym facilities (such as the pool) before or after your exercise class.
Details of current times and locations for Active Age classes are in our What's On Guide.
Do you want your children to be: physically active during the holidays? learn and develop new skills and sports? well looked after by experienced teachers?
If you answered yes, then our vacation time children's development camps, for 5-9 year olds, are for you!
Our camps are delivered in our purpose built facilities, which offer a safe learning environment, by our qualified staff.
Children have full use of our indoor and outdoor facilities and our varied timetable can include:
