ActiveAge

Our older adult programme has a reputation of delivering high quality, enjoyable and worthwhile courses for our older customers.

Our ActiveAge programme is for those 55 and over, and encapsulates the best components from our main programme and tailors it specifically to the needs of participants. Participants are encouraged to work at your own pace - making the sessions as strenuous or easy as you wish, to achieve the numerous positive health benefits from exercising on a regular basis.

Social Aspect

Our programme is also known for it’s great social side - at the end of each exercise session there is the opportunity for ‘tea and a chat’ with fellow members. You are also invited to attend a number of excursions and lunches organised throughout the year. Information regarding individual trips is given out during courses.

What do you get for your ActiveAge membership?

Our ActiveAge course is low impact for the older adult with a combination of aerobics and muscle conditioning. It is suitable for all levels of participant. The programme is delivered across both our facilities - as an ActiveAge member you can choose to attend either or both facilities. Currently our Stevenson building programme is offered on a drop-in basis pay as you go and our Garscube programme is offered as a pre-enrolled course over 8 weeks. For details of either, contact Reception at our facilities.
