Janet's first degree is in Mathematics and she supplemented this with post-graduate qualifications in Teaching, Statsitics and Information Technology. She worked as a Statistician with the Agricultural Research Council before embarking on a teaching career that has included teaching in secondary schools, one-to-one tutoring as well as lecturing and turoring at the University of Glasgow and Caledonian University.
Her interestes include the transition from secondary school to university and the teaching and learning of Statistics and Mathematics at all levels.
