Enhancement-led Institutional Review (ELIR)

The second Enhancement-Led Institutional Review (ELIR) of the University has drawn to a close with publication by the QAA of the final report. The report confirms that the ELIR panel had confidence in the effectiveness of the University’s management of academic standards, and of the assurance and enhancement of the student learning experience, both currently and in the future. The statement of confidence is the highest of the three standard forms of judgement in the ELIR process. This welcome result reflects the input and co-operation of many colleagues, the Students' Representative Council and other students who met the panel.  Further information on the report is available here and the report itself is available here on the QAA’s website. The University is considering the report's findings in order to identify what actions it might take forward.
