Professor Steven P Beaumont, Vice Principal for Research & Enterprise

‌‌‌Steven Beaumont (Steve) has overall responsibility for the University's Research & Knowledge Exchange strategy and policies, and their delivery, and for operational matters including negotiations and relationships with research sponsors and strategic partners.  He is also responsible for the University’s enterprise activities, including research links with industry and the promotion of spinout companies.  He is leading the University’s 2014 Research Excellence Framework submission.  Steve is the lead for the Innovation Centre for Imaging and Sensor Systems.  He chairs and sits on many University Committees and Groups as well as external Committees.  In particular, he sits on many Royal Society of Edinburgh Committees and Boards.  He maintains a high profile with all the Research Councils, Charities and Funders through annual visits.

Steve is also a Director and Chair of the Glasgow Research Partnership in Engineering.
