Melville Anderson, Head of IP & Commercialisation

Mel is responsible for managing the IP & Commercialisation function and the university's relationship with its venture capital partner - IP Group plc. The IP & Commercialisation team is responsible for identiftying/evaluating intellectual property (IP) generated via university research and leading the exploitation of selected IP via licensing or spin-out formation. This activity includes securing funding for de-risking IP opportunities to investor or licence ready stage.
