UK Recruitment Events
The University of Glasgow's UK Student Recruitment Team help to organise events on campus and travel throughout the UK visiting schools and colleges and representing the University at Higher Education Conventions. These events provide prospective students with an excellent opportunity to find out about the University, our degree programmes, accommodation and student finance. Other University departments and services also host and attend internal and external events throughout the year.

Recruitment Events Glossary
HECs (Higher Education Conventions): large-scale regional events organised by UCAS and attended by lots of universities. Regional schools attend these events and view them as a key means of providing their senior pupils with the opportunity of collecting information about different universities before they make their UCAS application. Recruitment Officers attend with Student Ambassadors.
Schools visits : two types; attendance at schools Higher Education/careers fairs with a University of Glasgow stand and/or talks (topics are: About the University of Glasgow; Transition from School to University; Study in Scotland; Student Finance; subject specific – Academics are contacted for information and advice prior to delivering the latter talks). Recruitment Officers attend with Student Ambassadors. Academic input would be welcomed.
