Pledges to students
The International and Postgraduate Service (IPS) are committed to providing an efficient and professional service to all potential international and postgraduate applicants from point of enquiry to admissions. It also provides current students with advice and information on potential Study Abroad and exchange opportunities, and current international students and their families with welfare and information support during their studies.
You can expect IPS staff to:
- Treat you in an open, fair and equitable manner
- Treat you with courtesy, respect and consideration at all times
- Answer your enquiries with relevant, accurate and up-to-date information
- Provide a welcoming service to all visitors to the Service
- Treat your application in a fair and equitable manner and inform you of our decision as quickly as possible
- Respect your confidentiality
- Deal with any complaint quickly
- Review practices and procedures regularly to ensure improvement of services for all customers
We would ask you to:
- Treat all our staff with courtesy and respect
- Ensure staff have full and accurate information in order to assist you with your enquiry or application
- Read all correspondence and application information carefully
- Use your application reference number on all correspondence
- Provide all application information requested by the published deadline
- Inform us of your decision whether to accept a place at the University via UCAS (Undergraduate students) or direct to IPS (Postgraduate students)
- Inform us if you wish to withdraw your application or cancel an appointment
- Inform us if you are unhappy with the Service we have provided in order that we can continue to improve our service to applicants and students
