Elaine Calder, Contracts Assistant
Elaine provides contract support to the Grants and Contracts Team and is mainly responsible for the data capture of new contract requirements, preparation of University Standard Agreements, project costing support, and liaising with Finance on the award of contracts and the opening of project accounts.
Elaine joined Research and Enterprise in June 1999 as Receptionist from Argyll and Clyde Health Board where she worked as Clerical Officer to the Personnel Department. Prior to this, Elaine worked in for several years in a City Chartered Accountants.

Paul Ellis, Senior Contracts Manager
Paul Ellis joined Research and Enterprise in June 1999. Paul is responsible for providing professional advice and support to academics seeking to establish commercial contract agreements with external sponsors, for consultancy and research-related services. Paul's main areas of responsibility are the Schools of Medicine (including Dentistry and Nursing) and Veterinary Medicine.
In his previous position with ScottishPower Technology, Paul's main responsibilities involved the management of contractual and commercial aspects of multidisciplinary engineering and consultancy projects. He has a wide range of experience with leading UK companies in various commercial roles, both in service and manufacturing environments.
Paul has also spent a short time teaching technological subjects in secondary education having originally graduated from Jordanhill College of Education in 1988 . Paul also has a Certificate in Business Administration and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

Lisa Fortune, Contracts Assistant
Lisa joined Research & Enterprise in September 2003 as a Clerical Assistant with the Operations Team before moving to her new role within Grants and Contracts.
Prior to joining Research & Enterprise she worked for a small engineering company as an Office Clerk and prior to that she attended Anniesland College where she gained an NC in Office Technology and Administration and a HNC in Administration and Information Management.

Diane Foster, Contracts Manager
Diane Foster joined R&E’s Contracts Team in November 2001 and has extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and the execution of University contracts for the sale of research-related goods and services. Diane has primary responsibility for the School of Engineering and is the principal point of contact in R&E in relation to the University's pro-forma agreements.
Diane graduated from the University of Aberdeen in July 1992 with an Honours degree in Law (LLB) and in 2007 obtained a master's degree in commerical law (LLM, with Merit) from the University of Glasgow. Prior to joining the University, Diane worked within a large engineering and manufacturing organisation, where she worked in both procurement and sales.

Joe Galloway, Contracts Manager
Joe Galloway is involved in all aspects of the application and award process for receiving grants and contracts from the European Commission. This includes general advice on funding, costing of applications, contract negotiation, as well as finalising EC contracts.
Joe graduated from the University of Glasgow in July 1996 with an honours degree in Accountancy and prior to joining R&E in March 1999 he spent some time in industry.

Jill Robertson, European Contracts Assistant
Jill has recently joined R&E as a Contracts Assistant, with a focus on supporting the European funding application process.
Having graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2006 with an MA in Business Management, Jill has since worked for both a major IT & Financial Services company. She has also spent some time in the University's Registry after completing an around the world trip.

Dawn Taylor, Contracts Manager
Dawn Taylor is responsible for the drafting, reviewing, negotiation, and execution of commercial contracts for the sale of research related goods and services, for the Schools of Medicine (including Dentistry and Nursing), and Veterinary Medicine.
Dawn joined Research & Enterprise in January 1999 from a local development company. Dawn has a degree in Business Information Management from Caledonian University.
