Upon registration at the University, you will be asked to upload an image of yourself to MyCampus. The photograph will be used to produce your student ID card. The photograph should follow the standard passport photograph guidelines. See Directgov website for further information.

Semester 2 (January 2013)
Students joining the University at the beginning of Semester 2 (January 2013)
Student ID cards for new students will be available for collection in the Round Reading Room [Map: E1] between 0930 and 1630, Tuesday 8 January and Wednesday 9 January 2013 by family name:
- ABCD: 0930 - 1030
- EFGH: 1030 - 1130
- IJKL: 1130 - 1230
- MNOPQ: 1330 - 1430
- RSTU: 1430 - 1530
- VWXYZ: 1530 - 1630
Please Note - Study Abroad students should attend on Tuesday 8th January and Erasmus students on Wednesday 9th January.

Students joining the University at other times
Student ID cards for new students joing the University at another time during the year will be available for collection from the Student Services Enquiry Desk on Level 2 of the Fraser Building, between 0930 and 1700, Monday to Friday.
Please note we will only be able to issue you with your card if you have completed registration in MyCampus.

- Students based at Dumfries Campus - your cards will be available for collection from Dumfries Campus.
- PGDE students - the School of Education will advise you about card collection arrangements.
- English as a Foreign Language students - the EFL unit will advise you about card collection arrangements.
Students who did not upload an image to MyCampus
Students who did not upload an image to MyCampus
If you completed registration but did not upload an image for your student ID card, we will be able to take your photograph and produce your ID card.
Alternatively, if you have a suitable digital image file you can upload it through Student Self Service in MyCampus. If you choose this option please wait at least five working days before you come to collect your card.

If you are going to use British documents overseas, for business or personal reasons, you may be asked to have your documents legalised, to confirm that a signature, seal or stamp appearing on a document is genuine, before they can be accepted.
Details of the legalisation service offered by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office are available on their website.
If your degree parchment is lost, stolen or damaged and you graduated in Academic Session 1988/89 onwards you may obtain a replacement. If you graduated before this date and require confirmation of your degree you should apply for a Certifying Letter.

Please note: it is not possible to apply for a replacement parchment or make payment via the telephone or e-mail. |

Normally certifying letters can be prepared within 10 working days from the receipt of the application or processing of payment where applicable. |
Changes of name: |
Once your certificate has been issued it is not normally possible amend your name. The only retrospective changes that can be made are where an administrative error has occurred or where we are required to make a retrospective change under the provisions of the Gender Recognition Act 2004. |
