Clothes shopping advice
If you have to wear designer clothes, limit the branded items you own to the most noticeable item, such as a shirt, jacket or top.
Remember that university is not a fashion show and no one really cares what you wear.
Try larger supermarkets for acceptable basics at low prices.
Budget outlets offer similarly low-priced options.
Check out brand-name discount stores, or villages if they are within reach. These stores offer end of season lines or seconds with slight flaws.
Don't take out a store card to purchase clothes!
Only buy essentials in the sales! If a jacket you don't need or are unlikely to wear has 50% off, you will not save that 50%, but waste whatever money you spend. A bargain is not a bargain if it does not get used!
