Shopping for books advice

Make sure you really need a book before you purchase it. See if it is available as a handout or through the library.

Look for second hand deals on books for your course rather than buying brand new ones every semester.

There are many second hand bookshops around the main campus and the Student Representative's Council (SRC) run a second hand bookshop.

Check departmental noticeboards at the start and end of each academic session as books are often for sale at these times.

Many of the larger online bookshops sell second hand books.

Sell the books you no longer need.

Buy books as you need them.
