The Anglo-Israel Association - Wyndham Deedes Memorial Travel Scholarship

Who is eligible?
You must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be of British nationality.
  • A Graduate of a British university.
  • UK resident.
  • You must want to visit Israel for a minimum period of six weeks and report on some aspect of life there (sociological, economic) that would be of direct interest to those working in that particular field in the UK.

Who is not eligible?

  • Non-UK residents.

Who is eligible?
You must be in further or higher education, and not entitled to get an LEA grant. Any award is subject to parental income.

You must have been ordinarily resident in the UK for three years before the start of your course, for reasons other than education.

The GEN Foundation Scholarships

Who is eligible?
The GEN Foundation is a charitable trust which supports the research and study of Natural Science and the Arts.

Grants will be awarded to candidates based, or studying in the United Kingdom or Japan, although applicants from other countries may be considered.

The Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust Undergraduate Bursaries

Who is eligible?

  • You must normally be resident in the UK and the son, daughter, spouse, widow or widower of a grocer, pharmacist or a commercial traveller.
  • Further information on the strict eligibility criteria of these awards can be found at the Trust's website.

How To Apply:
Completed applications are required to be submitted by the university, which is also required to administer any payments authorised by the Trust.
Application forms are available on pdf format from the website.
Application deadlines are 1st October and 1st March each year.

The Mercer's Educational Trust Fund

Who is eligible?
You must be under 25 years old, resident in the United Kingdom and pursuing, or about to pursue, a full-time course leading to a degree.

Who is not eligible?
Applications from individual students cannot be accepted for courses in performing arts, art, law, business and management studies, film, dance, journalism, music, intercalated degrees or elective study.

Who is eligible?

  • Open to UK Nationals.
  • Preference is given to those who pursue vocational or 'social service' courses or a course which will lead to paid employment.

Who is not eligible?
Grants are not available for travel, study or work-experience abroad, for postgraduate study or research, or if other sources of funding are available.

Wingate Foundation: Wingate Scholarships

Who is eligible?

  • UK and EU applicants.
  • Applicants must be 24 or over on the 1st of September, there is no upper age limit.

Who is not eligible?

  • Overseas applicants.
  • People who are not resident in the UK.

What assistance may be available?
Wingate Scholarships are awarded to individuals of great potential or proven excellence who need financial support to undertake pioneering or original work of intellectual, scientific, artistic, social or environmental value. They are designed to help with the costs of a specific project which may last up to 3 years. The average total award is about £6,500 and the maximum in any one year is £10,000.
