General financial advice

The Advice Centre will give you impartial advice on every aspect of financial matters, including matters as diverse as benefits, council tax and the best way to pay for your childcare costs.

The Advisers are available to see you on a drop-in basis at the following times:

Term-Time

• Monday: 10.30am - 4.00pm 
• Tuesday to Thursday: 10.00am - 4.00pm
• Friday: 10.00am - 3.30pm

Summer Vacation

• Monday-Friday: 11.00am - 3.00pm

Advice for International students

The International Student Support team provide a dedicated advisory service for international students on non-academic matters such as immigration, employment, finance and any other concerns you may have.  They are based in the Fraser Building.

Advice for Crichton Campus students

Students at Dumfries Campus should direct their enquiries to Student Services at the Dumfries and Galloway College Building, Bankend Road, Dumfries DG1 4FD.  Staff can advise students of the application procedures and closing dates for the various funds as these may differ from those on main campus.
