Student ID cards

New entrants are issued with their student ID cards at registration after completion of all necessary formalities. Please keep your card safe as it should last for the duration of your programme of study. It will always be required for identification in the University e.g. when collecting your award cheque, when sitting examinations and for access to University facilities, such as the Library and Sports facilities. You must present your student ID card on request to any member of the staff of the University.

Students in the final year of their programme should note their student ID card has an expiry date on it, normally a few weeks after the official end of their programme of study, and that after this date they will no longer be able to use their student ID card to access the Library and some other facilities as a student. Official semester dates and can be found at the following link to session dates. Final year students who may have resits examinations should visit the Service Desk on level 2 of the Fraser Building and their Student ID Card will be reactivated to enable them to access the Library.
