When to Arrive

For Ceremonies Commencing at 11.00 am

Graduands should aim to arrive at the University at 8.40am.   You should arrive at the University to register for the ceremony, collect your 2 guest tickets plus any additional tickets which may have been allocated and then to collect your gown and hood.   It is important that you do attend at the time stated.   If you do not you may not be permitted to graduate.   After registering and collecting your robes you will be free until 10.00am.   At 10.00am you will need to assemble for the ceremony as stated in the Summary of Proceedings which you will receive when you register.   Guests will be admitted to the Bute Hall from 10.30am.

For Ceremonies Commencing at 12 noon

Graduands should aim to arrive at the University at 9.40am.   You should arrive at the University to register for the ceremony, collect your 2 guest tickets plus any additional tickets which may have been allocated and then to collect your gown and hood.   It is important that you do attend at the time stated.   If you do not you may not be permitted to graduate.   After registering and collecting your robes you will be free until 11.00am.   At 11.00am you will need to assemble for the ceremony as stated in the Summary of Proceedings which you will receive when you register.   Guests will be admitted to the Bute Hall from 11.30am.

For Ceremonies Commencing at 4.00 pm

Graduands should aim to arrive at the University at 1.40pm.   You should arrive at the University to register for the ceremony, collect your 2 guest tickets plus any additional tickets which may have been allocated and then to collect your gown and hood.   It is important that you do attend at the time stated.   If you do not you may not be permitted to graduate.   After registering and collecting your robes you will be free until 3:00pm.   At 3:00pm you will need to assemble for the ceremony as stated in the Summary of Proceedings which you will receive when you register.   Guests will be admitted to the Bute Hall from 3.30pm.

The graduation ceremonies will last approximately one hour and drinks will be served afterwards.
